Spanish Fork Police Investigating Aggravated Assault


Spanish Fork, UT — On April 21, 2024 at 6:57 AM Central Utah 911 received a 911 call from a hysterical male individual stating that another male was holding a shotgun to his head threatening to kill him.

Officers responded to a home in the area of 1400 E 750 S Spanish Fork Utah, while in route one officer was able to speak to the victim via phone who stated that the suspect  was going to kill him and was holding a shotgun to his head. The suspect learned that the police had been contacted and fled the scene through a window on the backside of the home.

The victim, who is in a wheelchair, was able to come outside through the garage and meet with officers. The suspect fled over the fence through the neighborhood and Central Utah 911 received a 2nd call of a male with a shotgun on the front porch of a residence. Responding officers were able to locate the suspect and safely take him into custody without incident. The suspect was taken to a local hospital for a mental health evaluation and will then be booked into the Utah County Jail.

The suspect is a 29-year-old male and the victim is a 45-year-old male. The victim stated he recognized the suspect from a previous work connection in Southern Utah.
