Earth Day at the Garden
Saturday, April 20th from Noon to 2pm
Spanish Fork Community Garden
789 W Center St, Spanish Fork, UT

Celebrate Earth Day with us at our local Community Garden!

Bring your family and friends, pack a picnic basket, and enjoy the start of planting season as a community. We'll have fun for all ages!

Activities & Events
Cornhole, Games, & Crafts
Try your hand at some popular lawn games or painting a river stone to take home.

Family Storytime
A springy, garden-themed, interactive storytime offered by our amazing Children's Department for all ages.

Volunteering & Service Opportunities
Take time to give back to the community by helping out in the garden. We'll be working with Community Action Services & Food Bank to help move soil and mulch, shore-up the fence, installing irrigation, and helping with clean-up! Plan on bringing some gardening gloves or a toolbox if you'd like to help out.

A Tiny Tomatoes Club Activity (ages 0-5 and a caregiver)
There's something for even the littlest hands, so bring your little ones to help out in our library teaching plot!

Free Seeds & Classes
Pick up some seeds for your own garden from the Spanish Fork Seed Library (which will be visiting during the event!) or attend a class to learn more about local gardening methods.

FAQs for Earth Day at the Garden
Is this a free event?
Yes! Everything is free to the public, including our seed library.

Do I need to have a library card?
No card needed, this is an event for everyone!

Will there be food trucks like last time?
No, there won't be food trucks. We do encourage you to pack a picnic though and bring some chairs or blankets to lounge on the lawn.

What if it rains?
Unless we have some serious wind or thunderstorms, we'll be doing the event! Keep an eye on the weather and see if you'll need to bring a coat. We recommend being prepared with hats, sunscreen, and sunglasses, too!

I'd like to get a community garden plot/volunteer at the community garden. How do I go about doing that?
That's fabulous! You'll need to contact Community Action about that, since they manage the garden. You can learn more about it by visiting them online at https://www.communityactionprovo.org/community-gardens/ (the Spanish Fork location isn't listed yet on their website, but they're the right ones to contact!)

Can I bring seed donations for the library?
Yes, we'd love to recieve some seed donations! Just make sure they're packaged and have the following information:
  • Year the seeds were harvested
  • If there were pesticides used
  • Plant Name
  • Heirloom or Not Heirloom
Where can I go for more information about this?
We did our best to include everything here. You can always reach out to the library, though! Call or text 801-804-4480 or email us at library@spanishfork.org.
