DRC / Planning Commission

Development Review Committee

The Development Review Committee (DRC) is created to provide technical review of development applications and land issues. The DRC is composed of 9 staff members from the many departments of the City. The DRC provides a recommendation to the Planning Commission and City Council for the following:

  • Annexations
  • General Plan, Master Plan Element Amendments
  • General Plan Text Amendments
  • General Plan Map Amendments
  • Zone Text Changes
  • Zone Map Changes
  • Preliminary Plats
  • Conditional Use Permits
  • Construction Standards

The DRC is the approving authority for Site Plans and Final Plats.

The DRC meets every Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at the City Council Chambers, 80 South Main Street, Spanish Fork.
The meeting may be canceled if there is not a quorum or only one item on the agenda.

 


 

Planning Commission

The Planning Commission is a board of 6 community members that have been appointed by the Mayor to review development applications. The Planning Commission provides a recommendation to the City Council for the following:

  • Annexations
  • General Plan, Master Plan Element Amendments
  • General Plan Text Amendments
  • General Plan Map Amendments
  • Zone Text Changes
  • Zone Map Changes
  • Preliminary Plat Master Planned Developments
  • Construction Standards

The Planning Commission is the approving authority for Conditional Use Permits and Standard Subdivions Preliminary Plat Applications.

The Planning Commission meets the first Wednesday of the month at 6:00 p.m. at the City Council Chambers, 80 South Main Street, Spanish Fork.
