SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
July 24th

31st Annual Intermountain Healthcare Speedy Spaniard
10K Road Race and Walk

Registration is available on-line at runnercard.com through July 22nd. Please pre-register if possible.

Thursday, July 24th, 6:30 am. Starts at Canyon View Park (turn south on 3300 East Powerhouse Road above Little Acorn at mouth of Sp. Fork Canyon). Race Day Registration begins at 5:30 a.m. Canyon View Park, 3300 E. Powerhouse Road. Open invitation 10K.

Early Bird Registration through July 15th is $15 with race T-shirt; $12 without T-shirt. Pre-Registration July 16th through July 22nd is $20 with race T-shirt; $17 without T-shirt. No registrations accepted after July 22nd until the morning of the race. (Mailed entries must be post-marked by July 17th to insure that they arrive in our office by July 22nd; however, if you want the early bird fee, they will need to be mailed earlier, so as to arrive in the Parks & Recreation Office before July 15th, which is the early bird deadline).

Race finishes at the City Park. All participants are entered into prize drawings to be drawn at the end of the race, but you must be present to win. Free shuttle will be available at the City Park to take participants back to Canyon View Park. Please contact the Parks & Recreation Office at 798-5068 for more information. Spanish Fork Football Booster Club Breakfast


Thursday, July 24, 7:00 am - 10 am. City Park, southwest corner. Bring your family and appetites for a delicious breakfast and support SFHS Football. $15 for immediate family. $5 per adult and $3 for children under 12. Contact: Larry Przybycien 798-8554 or 431-7213.


14th Annual 1 Mile Children's Speedy Spaniard Fun Run

Registration is available on-line at runnercard.com through July 22nd. Please pre-register if possible.

Thursday, July 24th, 7:30 a.m. Northeast corner of City Park (100 East Center). Race Day Registration begins at 7:00 a.m. One mile run for kids, 12 years of age and younger. Grand Parade

Thursday, July 24, 9:00 am. Please remember that there is no seat saving for the parade until after, Wednesday, July 23 at 6 pm! Parade route from 900 East, west on Center, around Spanish Fork City Park, and north on Main to 900 North. 100 exciting entries, including bands and beautiful floats. Craft Fair

July 21-23 from 9:00 am - 6:00 pm; July 24 after the parade until 6:00. At the City Center

DUP Museum Exhibits and Baby Quilt Sale

FREE admission. July 21, 22, 23 from 10:30 am - 4:30 pm; July 24 after the parade until 4:30. Daughters of the Utah Pioneers Museum located at 400 North Main.


Art Show for Children and Adults--Front of Library (After parade until 4:00 p.m.)

Please share your artwork with us. Catagories include Adults, Teens 13-18, Children 2-12; 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Places in each division. Please bring your artwork to the Library on JULY 23 ONLY between 1:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. Artwork must be framed and with a hanging wire. Artwork that is not framed and with a wire will NOT be accepted. Artwork will be displayed all day long on the 24th for public view and voting in the tent in front of the Library. Winners will be posted at 4:00 p.m. Prizes awarded at 5:00 p.m. Artwork must be picked up by 6:00 p.m. Any questions, please call Lisa Millman-Brown @ 801-623-9213


Miss Spanish Fork 2008 Royal Tea - "Have TEA with the Queen"

Thursday, July 24, 11:30 am - 1:30 pm at Primrose Retreat (978 E. Expressway Lane) All ages are cordially invited to meet the Royalty. While you are there, experience the decadence of lunch at the Primrose Cafe. There will also be a photo oppurtunity for a nominal charge. Reservations are required. Call (801) 798-1104

Tickets are 1 for $1.50 or 10 for $10.00

Outdoor Quilt Show

Jones-Hughes Pioneer Park

An array of beautiful quilts will be displayed on porches, barns, fences, and historical wagons for the fourth annual quilt display.

4th Annual Fiesta Day's Adopt a Duck River Race

Thursday, July 24, 2 pm. Spanish Fork River, West of the new ballpark. Signs will be posted. Ducks may be adopted for a recommended $5.00 donation, per duck. There will be no limit on the number of ducks you can adopt.
  • 1st place - $1,000 cash
  • 2nd place - $500 cash
  • 3rd place - $300 cash
  • 4th place - $200 cash
In addition, several "Lucky Ducks" will be plucked from the water and will receive various prizes! Your tickets may be purchased Friday at the Movie, or Saturday thru Wednesday in front of the City Office building, or each night of the rodeo. You may also contact any of your local firefighters to purchase tickets any time prior to these dates. Come support your local firefighters by bringing your family & friends for an afternoon of fun! Remember that safety is our first priority.


Water Park Open 1 to 6 p.m.

The Water park will be open on Thursday, July 24th from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. This is one of the special swimming days at the Spanish Fork Community Water Park (500 West 200 North). Admission is discounted to $3.00 per person on Pioneer Day and includes all Water Park amenities. Three years of age and under are free with "approved" swim diaper. Prize drawings will be held throughout the afternoon. Bring your family for a good swim.

Spanish Fork Community Theater's Production

Come celebrate pioneer traditions with Spanish Fork Community Theater's production of "Oklahoma!".

66th Annual Fiesta Days Rodeo

Fiesta Days Rodeo begins at 8:00p.m. Pre-show activities being at 7:30p.m.

This Family Event has four action-packed nights of top professional rodeo action. Come see the bucking horses, the ferocious 1-ton bulls, the brave cowboys and cowgirls. Cowboys compete in these classic rodeo events: Bareback Bronc Riding, Steer Wrestling, Team Roping, Tie Down Roping, Bull Riding, Saddle Bronc Riding, & Women's Barrel Racing. You will also enjoy these crowd favorites: Mutton Bustin', Trailer Race, Dodge Trucks, Pre-Show Entertainment, The Wild Child, Roping Chutes, & Gold Chutes.
