I was born and raised in Spanish Fork as were my parents and grandparents. My parents are Charles E (Bud) (deceased) and Joyce Huff Swanner. I graduated from Spanish Fork High School. I married my high school sweetheart Teresa Evans. My mother and father-in-law are Blaine and Linda Evans. We are the parents of four children and ten grandchildren with number eleven on the way in October. I have an engineering degree from UVU. I worked for Qwest Communications for thirty three years retiring in 2011. To keep myself busy since retiring I do some book keeping for a local business, help my father-in-law on the farm, drive truck (mostly cattle hauls) and teach primary. My work at Qwest allowed me to learn the value of customer service, budgets, contracting to manage a crew, and work with city governments throughout our state.
Why Are You Running For Spanish Fork City Council?
Because of my deep roots here in Spanish Fork I would like to give back to a community that has given a lot to me and my family. I would like to use my knowledge and wisdom to serve my community. I want to help keep our community strong and give strength and support to our future family members so that Spanish Fork will always be a great place to live.
