Mayor G. Wayne Andersen
Mayor G. Wayne Andersen was elected November 3, 2009 as Mayor of Spanish Fork City, and his Oath of Office was administered January 5th, 2010. He is currently serving his first four-year term as Mayor. Previously, he served four years as a member of the City Council.
Mayor Andersen was born in Provo Hospital and raised in Spanish Fork. He graduated from Spanish Fork High School and attended Utah State University and Brigham Young University. In addition to his mayoral responsibilities, he works for Utah State University.
He married Melenie Nielsen, also from Spanish Fork, and they have 6 children: Nanelle, J Wyatt, Garrett, An'Jalee, Chett and Jade. He enjoys hunting and fishing and recently purchased a team of horses and a covered wagon -just for fun.
