Mapping - GIS Division
The Mapping or GIS Division is a division of the Public Works Department and Engineering Division. This division consists of 3 employees, the GIS Administrator and 2 GIS Interns. The current GIS Administrator is Shawn Beecher. The GIS Division acts as a service division to all Citizens of Spanish Fork, City Council and Mayor, City Departments, Commissions, Committees, Boards, and others. It is our responsibility to provide maps, information, and services to help improve the lives of the aforementioned groups of people. We help keep track of subdivisions, planning and zoning, general plan amendments, annexations, utilities, voting precincts, special event maps, and many other pieces of information as the city grows to ensure that all know what is happening within our city. We also provide geographical analysis to assist those various groups in understanding their environment in order to make decision making easier.
