Spanish Fork Police Investigating Road Rage Incident Fatality

Update April 29, 2024.
The driver of the vehicle involved the fatal traffic  accident has been identified as  27 year old Calvin Zakery Grace of Springville, Utah.

Spanish Fork Police Investigating Road Rage Incident Fatality


Spanish Fork, UT — On April 26, 2024 at 2:17 AM Spanish Fork Police were dispatched to a road rage incident in the area of 800 North Highway 6.  The complainant advised that he was stopped at a traffic light and a vehicle pulled alongside of him and was staring at him.  The complainant continued Eastbound on Highway 6 to 2550 East.  The complainant advised the suspect vehicle began  to follow him and at some point began ramming his vehicle .  The complainant was on the phone with 911 advising of what was occurring.  The victim turned off of Highway 6 and drove to Canyon Road where he then went Westbound.  The suspect continued to follow and attempted to ram the victim.  

Spanish Fork Police observed the suspect vehicle in the area of 600 East Canyon Road.  An officer attempted a traffic stop in the area of 400 East 300 South.  The suspect vehicle fled  Northbound on 400 East at a high rate of speed.  The Spanish Fork Officer could not keep up with the suspect and lost sight.  The Officer continued to the area of 400 North 400 East where he had last seen the vehicle.  The Officer located the suspect vehicle at 500 North 400 East where it had collided  into a large tree in the front yard of a residence.  Officers and EMS performed life saving measures on scene although the driver of the  vehicle was declared  deceased.

The deceased driver is a 27 year old male from Springville Utah.                                                    Spanish Fork Police contacted the Utah County OICI (Officer Involved Critical Incident) team who is on scene conducting an investigation.
